Riad Misbah's EntranceA palatial mansion in the purest traditional style, fully refurbished with modern amenities. A meeting of West and East in the westernmost country of the Arab world.

Riad Misbah (the Lantern) is the vacation home of an Italian ambassador, that he now opens up to sophisticated visitors of the city.

Relax in this wonderful five-bedroom luxury riad, exquisitely furnished, with a patio enriched with fountains and orange-trees, an extraordinary heated swimming-pool, a large traditional hammam (sauna), a Moroccan living-room rich with precious fabrics and Italian period pieces, a dining-room in the style of Italian monasteries, a library room endowed with a spiral staircase, a ballroom with fireplace and imposing chandeliers. There are five bedrooms of varying sizes and all air-conditioned (three with en-suite bathrooms, two sharing the same bathroom), a hanging garden. Two roofs open onto the patio and the swimming-pool and there is a unique system of central heating (a rare commodity in Fes). There is ample choice to make this holiday the perfect break, whether it is to rest, to swim, enjoy massages, or simply read or listen to music; all of this is an experience worth living whilst enjoying the sophisticated cuisine of this city laden with history and tradition.

Riad's services (charges apply, breakfast is complimentary): airport transfer, use of the facilities of the house; guests desiring lunch or dinner will be able to choose their own menu from a list offered to them. Official guides will help the guests around the medina. For those who want to venture outside, this most oriental of Moroccan cities offers visit opportunities for weeks: souks, medersas, sanctuaries, museums, festivals, its surroundings with Meknes, Volubilis, the hot thermal baths of Moulay Yacoub, golf, horse-riding and much more.
